Mathematical Models for Climate Change

Here is a little more info:

Are you interested in climate change, and how the mathematical models supporting different arguments actually work? Do you want to hear about the maths and science behind climate change arguments so you can understand them on a more technical level? Then come along to Professor Chris Budd’s talk, Mathematical Models for Climate Change, on Wednesday 6th November!

Chris is Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Bath, and is known especially for his contribution to non-linear differential equations and their applications in industry. He has also done lots of work relating to maths communication, and was appointed as Chair of Mathematics of the Royal Institution of Great Britain in 2000, as well as being awarded an OBE for services to science and maths education in 2015. We’re super excited to host him!

Whether you’re interested in mathematical modelling, climate change or both, this promises to be an excellent event!
